Default DVI and component hookup

I have a Sony HS 10 projector which has dvi input and a input call Multipj. I currently use component out from a dvd player to this multipj connection (its like an rgb input). I have the new sony 300 blu ray player and my question is, should I go component out from the player into this multipj or should I get a cable with hdmi on one end and dvi on the other. Will using my dvi input improve picture quality? Not sure my projector is hdcp compliant if that means anything. Thanks for your help!!

Anytime you can use a HDMI to DVI do it! I had my system hooked up with component cables for over a year and last month finally got a receiver with HDMI and connected to my TV with the DVI. My wife noticed the difference instantly! It is a lot better hooked up with HDMI (DirecTv and PS3) than with the component cables!
