Default Cant Connect To Bd-live!!!

I have been trying for hours to get connected to BD Live, i dont understand anything on how to do it, where do i get the IP adress, The subnet mask, the gateway and the DHCP server?? Where am i supposed to get all these number from. What i am doing is i unplugged my ethernet cable from my computer and connected the modem straight to the the BD player. I got some of those numbers needed for the connection through my internet connection on my computer and copied the numbers into the BD player, but it always says it can not connect to the DHCP server. I have a Sony BD350, and its up to date on all firmware. Also whats a proxy? someone please help me,

I have a 350 as well, have you run the network Diagnostic to verify the players connection?

Within the network section of the player, are you seeing numbers within the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS settings?

If your player is up to date with the latest firmware updates, how did you accomplish this, with a network connection, or a CD? If you can receive firmware updates via the internet, then there should be no problem with accessing BD Live content.

have you tried rebooting your modem? Before I had a router I would have to switch cables, reboot the modem and then turn on the player before it would connect. Worth a try i guess.
