True though (about the pricing)... I think by the time you pay for the required movies, it might end up being better to stick with Amazon... we'll see.

I used to belong to the Laserdisc club when it was running at got some really good deals at that time. But, I would be hesitant to do it again for DVD or Blu-ray. For their regular priced selections (afaik, it could have changed by now) they charge full retail price for thier discs. Also, their shipping charges are not inexpensive, plus they charge sales tax. So, in the long run, it might be better to buy at Amazon or one of the other online retailers. I also hated sending those stupid cards in every month so I wouldn't get their main selection, which was typically something I didn't want. Any news on if the movies are going to be offered with the DVD club or if it is going to be a different club featuring Blu-ray or Blu-ray and HD-DVD?

No way would I join Columbia House again. I was a memeber of the regular DVD club and it was a joke. I too got tired of having to send out card after card, and when you figured in the shipping per disc and tax per disc, it wasn't worth it. I'll stick to Fry's, Best Buy, Wal-Mart(I get a discount there), and EBay.

I'm in amazon prime ,which you pay $80 a yr to be in but then ANYTHING shipped/sold by amazon has $0 shipping unless you need it overnight or a saturday. Their stuffs shipped 2-day air FREE after said $80 is paid.

If you buy something outside (3rd party) amazon it tells you it's not in prime.
Also if you have 2-4 aditional family members they can join the party FREE.

You send an e-mail they accept and are in on free shipping.

BOTTOM LINE-I only shop amazon enless it's a speciality HD item then i shop
monoprice.com they're the lowest priced HD gear shop. 10ft HDMI for less than
$10 + a small s/h regardless far cheaper thar getting it from monster.

yeah i joined when dvds were more expensive but now even after you cancel with them they still send you a packet of crap every mo. about movies and stuff... the first seven free movies are worth it or w/e but in the long run its better to stay away from them... now 7 blu-rays for like $1.49 or something I'd think about it then

When you are on the Internet, you know 99% more thing than any customer service in the world.

Just like my Toshiba HDTV that i had. I seen a Buletin/Recall online.. call the CE and EVERYONE told me that they were no Bulletin for it. I had the PDF with me.... i actually FAXED to Paper to them.. they call me back to tell me i was right LOL!
