Default What BD's should I buy with $60 RZ certificates?

I'm torn. Should I wait for November and rack up on a collector's set like Rocky, LOTR, GWTW, or should I buy a few things now, like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Gladiator, Braveheart, etc.

Any ideas?

well w/the killer deal for gladiator & braveheart next week, i'd go that route.

$22.99 each, $10 off if u buy both. $10 mail-in-rebate for both in the packages if u own the original dvd's.

otherwise i'd wait for LOTR myself.

What ever you decide, if amazon.com has them cheaper take the movies to customer service and request a price match They will look them up while you wait. I'm pretty sure they are doing this all the time now just to get the revenue into the stores.

They'll price match Wal-mart.com, which is often close in price. Or you can print out Target.com (which is Amazon), white out the parts where it says Brought to You By Amazon, and then make a copy and have them price match that...has always worked for me.

For the last batch of movies I purchased they did with no problem (BoB, David Gilmore, Halloween, Black Hawk Down and A Bugs Life) I bet almost all BB's will do it now as they would rather have some revenue in the stores as opposed to saying "No" and you leave $150 worth of movies sitting on the counter and leave. Remember the worst thing they can say is "No"

You need to go to customer service and ask....don't ask the goon walking around the media department as he has no idea and no control.

Are you saying that Best Buy will PM amazon.com. I sure wouldn't mind going into my BB and PM some movies that are on sale right now at amazon.com.

I've never been to a Best Buy that will price match an online retailer, especially Amazon. Their price match policies are pretty clear.

Feel free to try your luck, though...

How recently have you tried? They want the revenue just like every other retailer out there, both b&m and online, they would be stupid to turn you away...of course they still may. Maybe I just got lucky

To the OP: I wouldn't mention or show the RZ certificates until the time comes to actually pay....they will see that as money that is already theirs and may be less willing to PM.

Bill

they won't...... but it has been mentioned before that they will price-match Walmart.com who apparently is a price-follower of Amazon on many occasions.

It drives me nuts. I did it with The Godfather and they never even sent me the $10... So if you buy them from Best Buy, and own both of them on dvd, you can get both after all the rebates for $15.98..now that's not bad! But I'm getting the steelbook so I don't know what I'm doing yet lol.

That is why you should always save a copy of the rebate form, the UPC symbols and receipt before mailing them in. Just tape each to a piece of paper and make a copy or scan it. Sadly, when it comes to mail-in rebates you really have to do this because if you don't, and you get a denial postcard for bogus reasons (which do occur), then you won't have anything to back up your case and just saying "I sent them in" won't get you anywhere. Always....ALWAYS...make copies of what you submit until you get the rebate in hand.

I agree those with others, you should buy what you would enjoy watching over and over. I promise I won't start a thread though asking what I should buy with the $975.00 in Best Buy Reward Zone certificates I have on my account, I choose to bank my points and save them for a rainy day, and besides the thread would be too long.
