Red face Whoops! Duplicate Blu-ray movies?

I purchase 4 to 6 Blu-ray movies per month on average and most of these are still in the wrapper.
I was organizing my Blu-ray movies last night and I came across 2 copies of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"!

Has anyone else accidentally purchased 2 copies of the same Blu-ray movie?
Do I need an Intervention???

Funny you mention this. I haven't duped YET, but I was in Best Buy the other day and I saw Lethal Weapon 2 pretty cheap and I wasn't sure if I had it or not?!?!

GLAD I'm not the only one.

I have multiple copies of the same movies, though they are not the same versions. Some of my Godzilla DVDs I have 3 different versions of from different regions. But I've never had the same exact edition of a movie twice.

I have two copies of Cars. My son destroyed the first copy I bought, well just the slip cover, cover art, and case. The movie still plays just fine. I bought the second on sale and have it on display.

I have had a few moments where I picked up a movie I already owned, but quickly put it back after checking out my collection on this site. What a great feature.

While I had ordered The Good, The Bad & The Ugly at Amazon, I nearly bought it at Borders on their 50% sale. I had them get it out of the case and thankfully I had told my brother I had ordered. He reminded that I was already getting it from Amazon. I put it back and got Raging Bull instead.

That's one of the reasons I love this site. I was always able to remember what I had bought on DVD but now things can get a little fuzzy.

I had accidently gotten 2 copies of Step Brothers. I didn't pay for the one, it was just somehow in there. I sold it though. I don't have too many movies that I could accidently buy more than one though haha

My Dad always does this, and he's not old. LOL! In his defense, he probably has over 600 DVDs, and with that many it could get confusing. I've never done it myself. I've watched every movie I own and therefor I always remember if I have a movie or not. I just don't forget easily.

Accidentally? No. I intentionally purchased a second copy of Zack and Miri make a porno when I finally found a place that carried a cover with the full title.

Incidentally, if anyone wants to purchase a copy of "Zack and Miri" - it's for sale...

I've never accidentally bought a duplicate copy of something (and that includes the 100's of vids, and over 1000 dvd's I have). There are still vids and dvd's I have that I've never watched so it's surprising it hasn't happened at least once. But I've set myself a rule with blu, if I have a film that is unwatched I have to watch it before re-watching another film.

I can't remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, but I always know what movies I have in my collection. Never purchased a duplicate before.
