Bought a 16 GB Pro Duo Memory Stick ... But

2 weeks ago , I bout a 16 GB Pro Duo Memory sticket from a seller on eBay for $45. Which I thought was a damn good buy and the seller had good feed back, over 100 plus positive feed back. On Sept 8, he emailed me and said he shipped the item and would take 7 to 21 business days.

So, I thought, sure fine, if its coming from over seas. But, now today I noticed he is no longer a registered member on eBay, Which bothers me. Any thoughts on this one?

He either got suspended or canceled his account. Contact ebay and see what they say. then file a item not received claim with paypal. If the item never arrives and paypal can't recover any funds, do a chargeback with your credit card company. He's probably selling fakes, if the deal is too good to be true then it probably is...or I could be wrong. good luck

I talk to eBay, and after explaining my story to them, they advised me to open a case for item not recieved just to be on the safe side.

Yeah raise a dispute. I bet you would find it was a pirate memory stick, which was why he got suspended. Pirate memory sticks are garbage and don't work properly in PSPs. I had exactly the same thing happen to me except I was unfortunate enough to get it before the seller was suspended.

$45 for a 16GB Memory Stick you know it has to either have something wrong with it or pirated. I wouldn't trust it. And probably reason why he is no longer on ebay is because he probably tried that with someone else and then that person reported him.

I got scammed on ebay,and it was almost identical to what you said.Did you use paypal?Hopefully you'll get a refund from them,but if not:could have been worse.Got ripped for 160$

Remember:ebay is a murky pond.Easy to get ripped.Best way to avoid it is if the seller has between 90-100% feedback and lots of them.

The exact same thing happened to me. The guy had a perfect feedback score and when I got the 16GB it was perfect. It came in a factory Sony sealed package with all the legitimate looking bells and whistles. Not needing it right away I put it aside unopened. When I went to use it in my PSP I noticed everything I would put on the card would come up as being corrupted. I thought there was something wrong with my PSP. So I did a little research on the net and discovered I had a perfect counterfeit piece of crap. I then went back to EBAY only to discover they had removed the seller . I filed a claim with Paypal and I'm still waiting. Hope you have better luck. The old saying "if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is" Needless to say I'm a lot more cautious now.

Just an update, got my 45 bucks back, and bought another from another seller. I got my Sony 16 gig memory stick Pro Duo Mark 2 for 42 bucks, so save about 3 bucks .... very happy with this nice addition to my psp

I would rather pay more for something coming from America on Ebay, rather than risk an overseas transaction. I have been burned too many times on that. I am currently awaiting some film equipment from Hong Kong that is a month overdue. The seller assures me that it will arrive any day now. No tracking number, and I've been hearing any day now for 3 weeks.
