The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Blu-ray Review

Stopped by Walmart to buy Freddy vs. Jason and noticed they had a couple copies of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003. Pretty good deals. Picked up Freddy vs. Jason for $10 and TCM for $15. Both are loaded with features.

I picked these up at Wal-Mart too. I actually went looking for Creepshow which they didn't have...

Kinda freaked when i saw TCM there, as its not due for another 3 weeks.

You suck. Makes me anxious to go to WM after work to see if they have any. I won't keep my hopes high though since my stores here don't carry much anymore.

Anyway, Best Buy has TCSM for $9.99 for pre order if you want to wait BTW.

I'm surprised these even rang up at the register,usually a prompt will say don't sell until so and so! My Target had the a couple of the new Beatles CD's and COULD NOT buy them because the register had a block on it said cant sell until 9/9/09, they probably put them out beacuse new releases are usually on Tues.not Wed.

Looks damn good. Fine grain is visible in quite a few of the scenes. Faces have plenty of detail and aren't waxy, and I can't see any EE at all. Colors are muted, but that's just the look of the film. Blacks look pretty solid and I haven't seen any banding in anything I've watched so far. For the bitrate people, it seems to hover in the mid to upper 20's with spikes in the mid 30's.

Audio is pretty awesome as well. Crystal clear with great atmosphere from the surrounds. When

, it's pretty intense.

My opinion, if you like the movie, you'll be very satisfied with how this one came out. Now we just need "The Beginning."

Agreed. Watched it again last night and it's a decent outing.

I stopped by two Wal-Mart stores last night. The first didn't have either FvJ or TCM. The second just had FvJ. I did ask a guy in electronics, but he just checked the new release rack and the Blu-ray rack and said that was all they had. Too bad - I was really hoping to pick up TCM.
