Canada vs USA blu-ray differences.

k so when you buy a disk..they are release by a different company in canada and the us. for example transformers was released by paramount in the US and dreamworks in canada...is there a difference in quality?..or are both disks manufactured from one place..and distributed by different companies?

Depends on the movie and who owns it...

Transformers (2007) is actually Paramount/Dreamworks in the US and Canada so they are the same release.

For others, check the Canada subforum. Lots of good information in there.

I believe all discs are the same with the exception of some Alliance titles.

With something like CSI season 1, the only difference was the packaging - an Alliance logo added in place of the Paramount logo on the slipcover and interior cover / disc art. The discs themselves were CBS / Paramount made.

Hopefully this will be the case for 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' as it's one of my favorites.
