Default Any deals for TNG: Movie collection?

I see BB and FS are selling for $63.99.

Any place cheaper than that? I think I might order from Amazon.com as it is $45 US which is cheaper after conversion.

Gotta factor in the Import Deposit fee too and shipping.

I was looking at buying some of the recent 9.99 Blu-rays from amazon.com but after everything was tacked on there really wasn't much of a deal any more. Abolish the Import Deposit Fee I say!!

Items: $45.99
Shipping & Handling: $7.98
Pre-order Guarantee: -$0.00
Promotion Applied: -$0.00

Total Before Tax: $53.97
Estimated Tax:* $0.00
Import Fees Deposit $6.05
Order Total: $60.02

$60.02 US is going to be only slightly less than the total at FS/BB.

Yeah you are right.

Bummer.

Someone posted links to amazon.ca a few days ago, but the links are dead now.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=113221

They had one set for $53. Their site no longer lists a price.

yeah but you also have to consider shipping cost + duties coming into canada. i often wonder how to calculate this

You quoted a post about amazon.ca so there's no duty with them. With amazon.com there is no duty either but they charge that Import Deposit Fee which eats away most of any savings. I have done dozens of Blu-ray orders from amazon.com before they added that fee and can verify there is no duty and you will not be charged any taxes on delivery as long as you choose the cheapest shipping method. The actual shipping and import deposit costs from amazon.com are listed right on your order page like the one I posted earlier in this thread. You won't pay anything except the total they give you in $US so there are no suprises with costs when buying from amazon.com into Canada.

The original forum post was a link to an Amazon.ca listing for $53. I saw it with my own eyes, thought nothing of it, and now nothing is available for a lower price. Considering Costco has Amazon's price beat on the TOS movies by quite a bit, here's hoping they'll do the same with this series.

I actually had the $53 set on pre-order for a long while. They removed it from availability on the day it was supposed to be shipped and have it listed as "we're trying to get more; we'll let you know". I'm just going to let it sit there until they either get more or I find it around the same price.

However, I'm looking for ToS: S2 for much cheaper than the $90 price point. I got S1 for $54 at Wal-mart and a $30+ price difference is too big to pass up.

I bought the Next Gen collection for $59.99 and Season 2 for $76.99, both at Future Shop.

Not great deals but no wait for shipping and 30 days to price match any better offers.

Future Shop now has it for $59.99. Best Buy now has it for $69.99

Wonder if Costco or Walmart have it for less.

Has anyone checked out Star Trek TOS S2 or The Next Generation collection yet today at Walmart or Costco? I didn't get a chance to stop on the way to work this morning.

I just got back from Walmart.

Neither was on display. One of their staff checked the computer and said the Star Trek Season 2 price was $89.99 and the Next Gen movies were $69.99.

Seems high so he may have been wrong.

I'm going to buy from FS this morning and price match any drops within the next 30 days.

Yeah that's not the same way it worked with TOS S1. It was on the shelf at 9am when I bought it and they had lots of copies. It was labelled at some rather high price but scanned at the lower one ($60 I think). That's too bad if they don't have similar pricing on S2.
