I doubt it considering the version that was recently released is still selling very well. I'm gonna say Titanic will be one.

I'd guess Titanic as well. It's already rumored for next year and it seems like an obvious Sapphire Series candidate, as a Best Picture winner and the biggest movie ever.

I have not bought Gladiator yet because of the info about it being jacked up... Brave Heart too... & I really want them!!! I had them saved on my HD DVR for along time and deleted them when word came down they were coming out...& Gladiator looked REALLY REALLY (BH also) good even on HD Cable so for the BD to look crappy is VERY disappointing. Why did Paramount do that to us, & these are the almighty "Sapphire collection". I'd like to see the Indiana Jones done worthy of the "Sapphire" label.

Saving Private Ryan would be a Day 1 buy for me for sure. I love that movie and held back on getting it on dvd in hopes of a Blu Ray release.

Based on popularity and critcal acclaim, I would say that the following are all good contenders: "The Ten Commandments", "Sunset Boulevard", "Rosemary's Baby", "Chinatown", "Ordinary People", "Shane", "To Catch a Thief", "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "Romeo and Juliet", "Nashville", "The Elephant Man", "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Terms of Endearment", "Saving Private Ryan" (if Paramount has distribution rights), and "The Hours".

I believe they also have the rights to "The African Queen" and "My Fair Lady" through Viacom/CBS.

So far "Sapphire Series" have only included Best Picture films as you have pointed out. If they continues with this trend, then the next candidates are:
Titanic
American Beauty

boo! the only one id want from all of the above mentioned is Saving Private Ryan. thats it. pretty poor selection
