Default Drag Me to Hell Oct. 20???

According to http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news...s.php?id=11232

"An official announcement has yet to come from Universal Home Entertainment, but according to Moviefone Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on October 20th. Specs and cover art are not available."

That sure would be fast...but a Day 1 buy for me- loved it!!! Great Raimi-isms throughout! Hopefully Darkman isn't too far behind!

Never saw it in theaters but I heard great things about it. Probably Day 1 here as well.

LOL worth it just to see all the cheesy CGI and all the things that go near and into the mouth of the gorgeous Alison Lohman.

I wasn't crazy about it, but I was 3/4 drunk when I saw it, so that might explain my reaction. I'll give it another whirl on blu.

I'm debating if this is going to be a blind buy. I never got around to seeing it at the theater.

I say if you really like Raimi across the board (Evil Dead(s), Dark Man, Spider-man, etc.), then you'll like it.

If you even sort of enjoyed the first Ring, The Return, The Eye, The Grudge...you'll like this more- 'cause it's not a remake!!!

That's my 2 cents!

Really it isn't that fast. I was released in theaters May 29th. That would be about 5 months. They have to take advantage of the Halloween season to maximize sales too.

Anyway, I loved it too and it is a must buy for me.

I saw this yesterday at our discount ($2.00) theater and I loved it! It's like it came right out of the 70's with chessy effects that were perfect. I mentioned this elsewhere, but the fact that this particular theater kinda sucks made it an even better movie: no digital, burn marks and pops every few minutes, and even a few scratches and audio drop outs on the film. I know it sounds crazy, but that made the movie even more fun. I had a blast watching it and didn't check my watch once - which is the first time I have felt like that since The Watchmen.

Day 1 for me. This has to be my favorite movie in a long while.

Army of Darkness in September and Drag Me To Hell in October. I must be in heaven!
