Default Waiting BD has BD-J?

Watched Waiting last night and I noticed there is some new stuff that I haven't seen on any other BD's, like stored bookmarking and controllable menu effects. Is this the first time this has been applied on BD? There was probably other stuff there too, but I didn't have time to fool around with it. When you moved the directional pad an interface pops up where you can graphically control the speeds of the FF/REW, or jump directly to any part of the movie by dragging the timeline. Also, if you push down some sort of marker appears on the timeline and pushing up makes it disappear, though I'm not sure what that does. Bookmarks also appear on the timeline and are controlled using those four colored keys.

I'm using a Panny BD10, so it works on players other than the PS3 as well.

OK, thanks. Didn't have that one, but it looks like these features may be standard for Lion's Gate discs now.

I just popped it in to compare the DVD and it's IMMENSELY better. I was surprised, since I know the movie was made on the cheap, but it looks wonderful.

Thanks for the heads up! I loved the movie, so it may be my second DVD replacement. (1st was Blazing Saddles for $13.99 hahaha)

Unhappy Problem with the movie Waiting

I bought waiting on blu ray on tuesday and I own the new pioneer elite Blu ray player and a PS3. When I put the movie in the Elite it just stayed with the loading screen for a good 15 - 20 mins and nothing happened. On the PS3 The menu came up but when it came to pulling up the pop up menu or watching any special features it froze. I work in a Magnolia home theater in best buy so i took the movie back but 1st i tried it on the Panasonic BD10a and it had the same problem as the Elite had. Now I have a new copy of it and the exact same thing is happening any1 else w/ this problem??

Mine played fine, but I noticed that the PQ was not so great. I mean it looked just a little bit better then the SD DVD version. It seemed like the image was too soft, like the sharpness was turned all the way down (and I did check to make sure it wasn't)

anyone else notice this?

I have the 1st generation Panasonic & it took forever to load & it kept freezing about every 2 minutes for a couple of seconds & then it would start playing again. It finally quit doing it about an hour into the movie.

I rented the movie so I thought maybe something was wrong with the disc I rented but if more people are having problems with it, it may be the pressing.
