Default reset on PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

Just picked up slim model PS3. Friend of mine purchased my 60gb. He has an old television,so he has to use the AV out cable. He went and purchased it,hooked it up,can't get a picture. I know why. I have hdtv,and my settings were for hdmi. I never changed them. Is there a reset for the PS3 to restore to default settings? He just needs to change the settings for audio and video and he should be fine. Thanks for the help

turn it on and then hold down the power button until it beeps and shuts off. When you turn it back on it should be set to default audio and video.

if worst comes to worst try and change the settings on another tv with HDMI and RBG plugged in at the same time.

But like the other guy said I think everything goes to the default settings if you hold down the power button for likw 10 seconds

the ps3 needs to be off, then you hold the power button for like 5 seconds and it will reset the video settings. if you hold the power button down when its on it will just shut off.
