Thumbs up Mod Appreciation Thread

That's right...a thread to give props to the mods we have in the site. Some of the mods have been here longer than others, but all of them have contributed to the great culture of this site. The courtesy, respect, and professionalism that the moderation team exhibits is commendable. I was just thinking yesterday about how many really nice people contribute here on a regular basis. There're really no disruptive personalities at all. It has taken a long time to shape this community and the moderation here is a huge part of that. Opinions are respected, and when people make infractions they are not publicly called out. I believe that having mods for specific parts of the forum is great because they get to know the members that usually post in that area.We all have a bad day once in a while, but things can be taken into perspective when we are familiar with each other. I just wanted the administrators here to know that they have chosen well, and this site is the better for that.

Well said Blu Titan!

I'm not a participant on many other boards, so I can't comment on how their moderators are assigned their duties, but I really like the idea of having mods for seperate forums and sub-forums. The only sad thing about it is that I don't really get to interact with some of the other mods like Shin-Ra and/or Brain Sturgeon, as I don't frequent those portions of the site much.

Also, I really appreciate the fact that the mods get involved in our discussions, not as mods, but as members themselves. This makes them more approachable and human..yes, mods are human too!

Thoroughly agree...wonderful post, Titan. I love how much the staff actually interacts with members on a daily basis, and I've never had a problem getting in touch with any of them--admin, moderator, or reviewer--whenever I have a question or concern. While this is only an internet forum, it feels much more like an internet community. Nice to see a praise thread every now and then

I myself totally agree with what has been said as far as the Moderation of the site . I don't think I could add to much more to that .

Excellent thread/Post Titan (KING)

I think the majority of the mods do a great job

I also want to personally thank whichever one cleaned up the Star Trek thread!

Thanks guys.

We try to keep things as fair as possible here, while still keeping control. I am not just a moderator, but a member as well. I enjoy this site as much as you guys.
