Issues with Heathers BD - Blu-ray Forum

Hey all, I just received my BD copy of Heathers from Amazon today and I think mine may have an issue. While the movie is playing the picture looks extremely "jumpy". As if the cameraman was shaking the camera while filming. The backgrounds and locations also seem to be "warped" out of shape. It's very distracting and makes watching (and enjoying) the movie impossible.

As a test I popped in my Anchor Bay THX certified dvd copy and it was completely fine. No jittery camera and no warped out backgrounds.

Has anyone else noticed an issue with the Heathers BD?

Although it did make me realize how much better the BD looks. By comparison the dvd looks dull, grainy, and has really muted colors. The BD transfer does look quite pleasing really, especially for a movie of this age and with a lower budget.

My copy plays fine. Sounds like you have a faulty disc.

...I was afraid of that.

I am playing with the output settings of my PS3 to see if I can get the problem to go away. I am just doubting I will be able to fix it as I have not seen any movie do this before. It really sucks too because this is one of my favorite films of all time and other than that it looks amazing!

EDIT: I just went through and tried adjusting all of my output settings to no avail...time to call Amazon and hope that it's a painless process to get an exchange.

mine is jumpy aswell, unwatchable, did you return yours?

I just received the australian disc & that is jumping all over the screen. Tried it on 3 different players & it's the same on them all. Is this common across most regions,or is it worth buying the German release to try?
