Ok this is probably a dumb question but I can't get my DTS-CDs to play. All I get is white noise or a shhh sound. I went in to my HDMI audio output selection section in my PS3 and unselected a whole bunch of stuff and messed it all up. So what should be selected or unselected? Thanks guys. J.H.

Are they original DTS-CDs? They should play fine without needing to select or unselect anything, as the PS3 can internally decode DTS. As far as I know, you can get the PS3 to bitstream the audio directly to your AV receiver so that it decodes the signal, instead of the PS3, you might want to try that... I don't remember exactly where this setting is, but the available options are Linear PCM and Bitstreaming, so choose the later... If the Cds aren't orginal, it might have to do with the way you burnt 'em.

They are all original DTS CDs yes. I thought if I change from Linear PCM to Bitsream I lose the PS3 decoding Dolby trueHD and DTS-HD? I thought that was deal? Thanks for the reply. J.H.

check out the link. it shows a way to get them to work and it should still work, it did for me the last time i checked. the thing with the ps3 though is that sometimes you have to change the settings for some things even though its a pain |

I took care of it thanks I finally found the answer. Here is an odd question. I have the Toy Matinee DVD-AUDIO that is also of coarse DTS. Its an amazing album too. Its a hidden great record. The lyrics portion always came up when I selected it even with a non DVD-AUDIO PS3. The other day all of a sudden it stopped working. It wouldn't go into the lyrics part. It shot me back to the main menu. I select audio formats DTS 5.1 then go to play a song and it will ONLY play in 2 channel. It has worked for a year since I had my PS3 and now it just won't. I have to hit the audio button to get it to play in DTS 5.1. Do you think the DVD is just shot? Is that the simple answer? J.H.
