Anyone as excited as I am for this??? I've been waiting for this movie for 2 years! Definitely seeing it tonight!

I wanna see it! I love anything Disney (minus the crappy live action stuff).

This is the first traditionaly hand-drawn film in 20 years! and Disney's first 2D animated film since 2003's Home On The Range.

Also marks the first African-American Disney Princess

Hand drawn in the sense that only certain parts were drawn. Then the computer filled in the rest.

Traditionally in the sense that Princess And The Frog is done, the whole movie was done by hand, then photographed over backgrounds and put together in one very long slideshow.

I saw this movie last week at a pre-screener and really enjoyed it..... This movie has an awesome blend of characters and has a great storyline..... A MUST SEE for any Disney animated fan!!!

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that this one isn't fully hand-drawn either...Use of CGI and hand-drawn. Using CGI to make it look hand-drawn in the parts they integrated with hand-drawn animation.

Saw the film this weekend. Although it's extremely formulaic, fully embracing the Disney animated princess fairytale template (with light influential sprinklings of Shrek 2), it is a splendid film, gorgeously animated, and filled with colorfully likeable characters. The cast is absolutely pitch-perfect, especially Anika Rose as Tiana and Keith David as the villainous Shadow Man. Jim Cummings also turns in a particularly memorable performance as Ray.

It's Randy Newman's score, though, that really elevates the film, offering its own distinguished flavor. His naturally upbeat style is a perfect pairing for the jazzy, big Broadway production numbers, and totally sells the 1920s New Orleans setting. "When We're Human" and "Friends On The Other Side" are definite standouts -- as is the showstopping "Down In New Orleans", played up in this wonderful montage.

Hand-drawn animation, how I've missed you. I'm kicking myself for missing Ponyo this year (will be picking up the home release the first day it hits in March), but Princess and the Frog is a stunning return to form by the house that Mickey built.

I loved the sound to the film... but something kept it from becoming a classic to me :/ Maybe I will view it again when it comes to BD as it was fun.. and it might have been one of those times where I have built up a movie too big in my Head

Yeah the voodoo mask scenes were unreal. They gave me goosebumbs!

I agree, they were creepy to me! But I loved this movie.

To someone earlier who said the music didn't stand out, I would have to disagree. I think the music is really great in this movie, and I can easily lift the songs out of the movie and enjoy them as songs.
