Default Let the Right One In

I apologize if this has been asked before. I did a quick search first but didn't find anything.

I'm guessing most people with an interest in "Let the Right One In" are aware of the hack-job that was done on the subtitles for original U.S. DVD/BD release. I read that Magnolia has/would be re-releasing them with the correct theatrical subtitles after the outcry from the fans.

Has anyone bought this BD off of Amazon? If so, did it have the corrected subtitles? I read that on the back of the case it would say, after the listed subtitles, "(theatrical)" to indicate that it was indeed the new version. The picture on the Amazon site does not indicate this but its unlikely they updated the image even if their stock was updated.

So, can anyone testify that Amazon is selling the theatrical version as opposed to the butchered one?

even if the subtitles are messed up i pulled the trigger the other day because amazon has a good price for it. i cant imagine something so trivial really taking away from the movie experience.

Its a pretty big difference. Its the same dialogue, in essence but all the nuance is gone.

I picked up the re-release with theatrical subs, but not off Amazon.

The problem is the translation itself. The new discs with the original theatrical translation will say it on the back... Subtitles: English (theatrical)

The back of the case should say "(theatrical)" next to the subtitles listed. Does it?

If you've seen the movie and then you look at the comparison pics between the two versions, it really is a big difference. Changes the tone in enough of the scenes to change the overall feeling of the movie.

Do me a favor and PM me when you get it and let me know if it notes the subtitles as being the "theatrical" version.

Sorry, I'm not sure, I purchased my copy a long while ago. Personally I think the subtitles do alter the movie alot. I'm importing a U.K copy because it has the best extras. It may not have master audio, but that is supposed to be fixed soon, if not already. I like the cover alot more too. The U.K version has a great commentary.
