Default Hope to hold on for 3-D HDTV

I currently have a Sony 60" Projection HDTV, it's great and all but after looking at my sister's 52" LCD Samsung, I want to buy me a large LCD TV, picture is superb over mines and theirs isn't the 7000 or 8500 model. But since 3D HDTV will be coming out, I might wait to see what the prices on these would be like before buying an LCD now.

What price would a 55" 3D HDTV be?

Probally alot more than 55"LED would cost, but LED and 3D prices shoulds both come down significantly after 2-3 years. also work the bugs out..

I wish it was possible to just buy an external device to attach between the blu-ray player and current HDTV to allow the 3D effect. If the 3D TV gonna cost more than $1000 then a regular with the same size, I might not buy it yet. The 3D for the home seems to be a show-off feature, I wouldn't pay $1000 just for it. Though I like it alot while watching Avatar.

Found my answer http://www.businessweek.com/technolo...mpaign_id=yhoo

I'll wait for Sony to improve on the tech and when price go down, then i'll buy one. Probably 6-7 years.

You could also look into a DLP tv. For whatever technical reasons that I don't understand... 3D tech is easier to implement in projection systems like a front projection system or a DLP TV. I know Samsung has been selling 3D ready tv's for over two years now and they do not cost any more than other DLP's. The picture quality of RPTV's and DLP's have improved VASTLY over recent years and are easily on par with a mid range plasma and IMO exceed the quality of all but the best LCD's.

I might be off the mark on this...but just buy a Samsung now that is 3-D capable.

My Samsung has a jack for the 3-D Glasses

So I guess it's 3-D ready

Since I've only had my Kuro for about a year, I really don't see a TV change anytime in the near future, it'll be 5 years at least before I get that itch.
