Total Blu-ray and HD DVD movies released? - Blu-ray Forum

Is there a list someplace that shows a complete list of every blu-ray title released and every HD-DVD title released with totals? I would be interested to see how many there are of each and then maybe a total of additionally announced.

I know Amazon shows 429 Blu-ray titles and 382 HD-DVD titles. I am sure this isn't a complete list but it is probably pretty close.

This site lists blu-rays by studio, so I could probably add them up, but I nice quick and easy tally would be a nice thing to see.

Amazon isn't very accurate because they allow individual retailers to add the same movie in a seperate product page. So it bloats the numbers.

This is a user driven count from dvdspot.com:

Total HD DVD 348
Total Blu-ray 383

are you talking worldwide or released in the USA?

If it's in the US there are currently 255 movies in Blu-ray and 234 movies in HD DVD. If you count all titles/programmes (including concerts dcumentaries TV stuff and adult) there are 313 in Blu-ray and 284 in HD DVD. If you mean discs the count comes out slightly different as I count individual programmes as 1 (So the Mission Imposibles are counted as 3 titles or 3 "programmes" per format, even if you can buy 4 (the 3 individual discs plus 1 box set))
