Book of Eli (Spoilers) - Blu-ray Forum

Ok I know we have a thread about this movie back before it started with just the information. So I wanted to start an official page after the movie came out for those who have seen it so we can give opinions and thoughts of the film. U can say whatever u like as the title states there will be spoilers!!!!!

I just seen this film and u can add another great film under Denzel's belt! He was great as usual and the film was directed very well by the Hughes Brothers which I am a fan of also. Now getting to the film......I love the overall mood of the film and the way it was shot and the monotone color of the film. Not sure if everyone gets the film and what took place but what I gathered..........Denzel was basically a prophet with the knowledge of the bible and he was sent to get the information into the right hands as the word was basically starting over after the war. I believe that is the twist most folks are talking about, if not then maybe I didnt get it as well. Let me know your take and if differ then what I gathered please share and also what u felt was the twist of the film!! Overall I give the film 4.5/5 Got Em!!

Downloaded a copy of this film the other day, Thought the premise of teh movie was just absurd. and thought the action sequeces were just overdone, the dialogue could of been better and Denzel was just alright, 2/5

I watched the film today and liked it. Kept me entertained and I will be buying it in Blu. Not a great movie, but very good 3.5 out of 5.

Solid film...The Hughes Bros did a great job as usual with the direction...loved the look of the movie

I def won't see it in theaters but might rent it. It looks pretty cliche and standard to me, nothing special. Of course, you can only tell so much based on a preview.

Of Course legally, I can get my hands ona screener sopy of most all big blockbuster movies

I saw the movie tonight and really enjoyed it. I guess the only thing negative I have to say was with Mila Kunis' character. For a post apocalyptic setting I thought she was too "pretty." Did this character have to be so attractive? There was no sexual tension between the characters, so why the beauty queen? Does it make us care any more or less about her if she looks a certain way? My guess is casting? Another pretty face with perfect teeth. I know something silly to complain about huh? Otherwise Great Pic. I will be picking this up on release day.

Me too. Mila was way too clean in that dark world. Still, I didn't spot the twist until the end. I loved it! I plan on getting this movie when it comes out in Blu-ray.

The look of the entire movie was very well done. Denzel once again does a terrific job, you don't wanna f*** with him really lol. The fights were brutal and violent. Good mix of action and dialog as well. Overall the movie truly delivered. I'll give it 5 stars, not epic but definitely 5 starts for me.

I voted 4/5, it was a very good film, beautifully shot, and well made fluent fight scenes. Every actor and actress is good in this, and most are great. It's just a great film.

I like how you know very little in the film, you don't quite know why a war went on, or anything about the main character for the most part.

I enjoyed this movie. Good to see Gary Oldman doing what he does best, being the bad guy. Mila Kunis is always a plus and Denzel did a great job. I'm gonna spend another 5$ to see it again.

Would have been surprise if you had rated this lower

I have yet to see it, so I won't vote. I will not go see it in theaters. Not a big enough fan of Denzel for that and also not a big big fan of these post apocalyptic stories. I will wait for it to be showing in Movie Network HD but that will most likely be only sometime next year.

I give it 4/5 stars. I thought Danzel carried the movie very well and was just perfect for the part. I'm looking forward to watching it again just because of the ending.
