Best full hd tv I can get for £600!? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey, I'm a novice when it comes to home threatre and specs of TVs etc. I'm starting to really get into my HD films and I wanna build my first HT this year. Firstly, I want a full hd TV and then I can start on the audio in April for my birthday.

I'm really not sure whats the best bang for buck in PQ I can get for my budget of around £600. I'm a student and selling a few bits and bobs to pay for this, so I want the best I can get for my limited budget.

I'd like it ideally 42"+ but not any bigger than 46", don't own a house so its going to be in my bedroom at my parents house or when I move into my own flat towards the end of this year.

I got my Sony KDL-32W5500 at 650EUR. Maybe if you search a bit you can still find one for a good price, because Sony is launching a nex line of LCD tv's. I'm very happy with my purchase. Also, if you don't mind not having 100Hz, maybe you could go for a V series. The KDL-37V5000 is around 550 or something.

Decided I am going to wait until the new sets are coming out to push the prices down of the Pansonsic G10/G15s and get one of them. I ain't fussy, I just want it to look good and I don't really care for 3D yet, maybe in a couple of years.

I don't know... I've looked into the G10 and from the reviews I saw they are good, but not great. I went for my Sony and I'm very happy.

Not great compared to the Samsung 8500's, Sony XBR 8, Panasonic V10's and Pioneer Kuro's...but outside of that I can't find any negative reviews that put them outside of the best TV's where budget is a concern.
