Pioneer VSX-03-should I get it?? - Blu-ray Forum

I can buy this bad boy as a display unit for $250 !! I need a bedroom receiver and this seems like a really good deal. I only have 2 Klipsch RB-10 bookshelf speakers in my bedroom so far but i will be adding the rest for a 5.1 set up to go with my Samsung 32A650. Should i buy more speakers first and keep using my crappy old Yamaha receiver that came in an HTIB package? im just affraid i might not come accross this kind of a deal later...

That is A good receiver for A bedroom at A good price I would say . Will you still get A warranty with it .

oh yeah,if i end up getting it its going to be from work (Magnolia HT) so it'll come with the standard 2 year limited from Pioneer but i'll also most likely get the 4 year protection on it so its covered against dust and heat issues...i also wanna get this 10" Klipsch Icon subwoofer too and i gotta see if i'll have enough money for both. but for $250- you'd get it right?? and my boss is giving me the xw-500 sub (reg. $1000) for $200...i gotta learn how to resist buying HT toys lol hahaha

For your needs and the price I think it's an awesome deal and that you should jump on it.

That's a teriffic price for that receiver. I bought my 03 over a year ago for double that price and don't regret it one bit.

I agree, that is a great price....and that seems like a good price for the sub too!

i've always wanted an Elite receiver (especially the sc-05 and 07, sc-25 and 27-damn) and im affraid once i get the 03 i might like it better than my Denon 2808

. nah,i'm really happy with the denon for my main system so the vsx-03 will probably go in my bedroom!
