Default Ready2Buy 2nd Blu-Ray Player: PS3 or BD-83?

Here's the deal: I've got a Sony BDP-S550 and Oppo 970H paired with my 5.1 setup and 58" plasma. My Blu-Ray collection has grown to the point that I'd like to have a Blu-Ray player in my upstairs den to go with a 32" Sony XBR LCD that's mainly used by my young son and for solo viewing.

If you were in my shoes, would you:
A.) Buy an Oppo BD-83 for the 58" plasma and move the 550 and 970 upstairs with the 32" LCD?
B.) Buy a PlayStation 3 and pair it with the 32" LCD for Blu-Ray, games, and Netflix streaming?
C.) Buy a sub-$200 Blu-Ray player with Netflix streaming for the 32" LCD?

I should mention that I have a Roku in my main system for Netflix streaming.

Also, I'm not all that into video games. We have a Wii downstairs that probably gets used once a week on average. But I am attracted to some of the PS3 offerings and would probably get to play it once in a while if it were upstairs.

I say B or C as they offer the most options for the price.

I say option #1 since it involves an Oppo BDP-83.

Although option #2 would give you the PS3's gaming and other abilities...

I should add that picture and sound quality are very important to me. That said, I would expect the biggest improvement from the BD-83 to be in the realm of DVD playback.

I would not expect the BD-83 to offer improved movie audio since my AVR decodes the True HD and DTS-HD. Perhaps the BD-83's 2-channel analog outs would offer improved CD playback. My Oppo 970H already gives my SACD over HDMI.

Reviewing my options, I think I can safely discard Option C since Option B would give me Blu-Ray and Netflix streaming both upstairs and downstairs.

To close the loop on this thread, I bought a PS3 from the Sony Style store yesterday and installed it last night without a hitch. The PS3 instantly found my Apple network and went to work downloading and installing the latest firmware update without a hiccup. Better than the Wii in this regard.

First Blu-Ray we watched on it was Season One of BBC's Robin Hood. It looked so terrible I thought I must have the PS3's settings screwed up. Then I came to Blu-ray.com and read this review. Yup, I chose one of the worst possible discs to try out my new player.

Haven't tried anything reference quality yet, but Magnolia looked swell.

All in all, I'm happy with my choice. Like the man on the commercial says, "it only does everything."

That said, when it's time to replace the Blu-ray player in my main system, I won't hesitate to buy an Oppo.

The thing that helped convince me NOT to buy the BD-83 as a solid upgrade to my current setup (see above posts) was an e-mail I got from Oppo on Sunday (Sunday!). I will quote it here in it's entirety.
Depending on the algorithms used by the Denon receiver, having a dedicated output resolution on the BDP-83 may improve the visual performance versus using the BDP-80 at Source Direct. If you are satisfied with the DV-980H performance, then we would recommend the BDP-80 as it will offer the same Source Direct video quality for your receiver to manipulate.
