Default When? The X Files on Blu-ray?

I say... if Star Trek has been released by Paramount on excellent BD versions with remastered image and enhanced special effects... why hasnīt FOX though of X Philes and released The X Files on BD? I donīt care about the Enhanced FX but a remastered image would be AWESOME!!!

Because although I love the series I have to admit that the compression on the dvdīs visuals is starting to look a LOT dated... WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Should we start a campaign so FOX releases the complete series on BD?

Nriq.

I love the show and am a huge fan, but I'm perfectly happy with the DVD's. Unlike Star Trek, which was shot on 35mm film and was very bold and colorful, X-Files was a very dark show that won't really benefit from an upgrade. Plus, the expense of 9 seasons...no way.

I think apart from one episode it was shot on 35mm, so an HD release would definitely be possible, though they likely did a lot of editing and effects in SD so it's probably in the same situation as many TV series from that period (like Star Trek: TNG.)

I'd love to have The X-Files on BD. The two movies were two of the first BDs that I bought and finishing the collection would be great. I'd buy them all on day one.
