Square Trade Warranties. Any references?

I just bought a Samsung UN55B8000 at Amazon and I'd like to get a 3 year warranty through Square Trade. Can anybody let me know about their experiences with square Trade service? Good, bad? timing, etc.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

I did a google search and I didn't really find anything negative.

I bought warranty on my Samsung TV, panny blu ray, ps3 and yamaha dvd player....

That's a good sign, thanks for your help but I'm surprised so few people in the forum have used this warranties since they're pretty affordable.

You say affordable, I say waste of money

Call your credit card company to see if they'll extend the manufacturer warranty on your HDTV. My CC company does

And btw, I did use Square Trade on a refurbished Xbox I bought on Ebay. It turned out to be a good buy since the xbox took a shit on my about 2 months after I bought it.

I agree with you, most of the time warranties are a waste of money but in this case a Samsung LED for +$2000 you just have to have it, just check a few threads on LCD displays and it will be easy to justify this expense.
When I mentioned affordable I was referring specifically to the Square Trade warranties in particular and not to general warranties, I know Best Buy, Fry's, Sears, etc. charge pretty steep prices on those.

The sales people make you think you need to have it, and you'll always hear or read a story about how a warranty saved "insert random persons name here," but in reality, extended warranties save a VERY few amount of people. If extended warranties saved everyone, than the warranty companies would go out of business.

If something happens to my HDTV outside of the 2 years worth of warranty I have, than that is just bad luck. If something does break, it would most likely be a $400 fix, which would cost as much as the warranty.

It's funny that people wont pay $400 to get their tv fixed, but are more than willing to pay $400 for a warranty.
