Default Dark knight special edition advice

I wanted to get everyone's opinion. As you know, there is a mask edition and a bat pod limited edition. The mask edition is dirt cheap now, $10 with another purchase at fye, and the Batpod edition is still floating around out there for like $45. I have the regular with slip cover already opened. Do u think it's worth picking up the 2 special editions and keep them sealed for collective purposes?the mask one is kind of a no brained because it's dirt cheap, and the bat pod is still around but not that common. I would keep those 2 special editions mint and sealed. Do u guys think it's a waste or do u think they could possibly be rare one day and it may be worth it for such a blockbuster great movie.

Collect it becasue you like it, not because it might be worth something in the future.

I love them film and I have collected various Steelbooks, Slip covers, Limited editions etc. and they look great on the shelf. I don't think I'll be selling them at a profit anytime soon.

I can't see myself selling them or any other collectors items either, I do collect them because I like them, but sometimes to rationalize, I hope to think that they are worth collecting because of it's rareity and possible worth money just so I don't think I'm wasting so much money, because in reality, they will just be sitting there taking up space and dust, yet I still feel like I want them to collect.

You covered the pros and cons of your question yourself. Since you rationalize they may increase in value but imply you understand that this is not realistic, if it makes you happy go ahead and make yourself happy.

I'd echo what everyone else has stated here and also stress that should not be paying any more than $20-25 for this. My local Blockbuster still has it at the low price Hidef Al mentions and it can be picked up new on Amazon for around $20 shipped.

Best advice right there. If you like, collect it. Your collection is personal to you.

Same here. I love the film. Unfortunately, I don't have any steelbooks.

I own the Special Edition DVD (Came with a JOKER Mask, Ceramic made)
Batpod Blu-Ray
Regular Blur-ray
Special Edition OST
2 Disk Complete Soundtrack

If you are looking for the Steelbook, FYE should still have it, they are selling it for $14.99. That is good, i remember paying $25 i believe when the movie first came out, i kept mine sealed of course because i have the regular blu-ray opened.

I bought my Batpod Edition for $20 at Blockbuster a month ago. So you might want to check out your local Blockbuster and see if they have any in stock for that price.

Me I believe that only you can make the call; first for how you feel about that now, and tomorrow will take care of itself.
Live in the NOW first.

That's my two cents.

Default collectible?

Not trying to be funny, but what makes you think a sealed copy of a blu-ray movie will be worth anything in the future? Would you pay for a sealed VHS copy of anything?

_ _ _ _ _ _ _

-hey everyone, this is how big my wee-wee is:

-a television that i can see
-a blu-ray player (obviously or I wouldn't be here)
-well it ain't headphones

You should pick up the SteelBooks. They're nicer IMO and I think they'll be worth more down the road if that's what you're looking for.

First of all there was such a drastic change between VHS and DVD, completley different item, different machine to run it on etc. There may be something besides discs in the future but your talking such a long time. Software, movies, CDs are all discs. Second of all, this is a limited edition special packaged versions that are unique. It's not like I'm gonna keep the regular version sealed. It's not jut a single blu Ray movie like all the others. It's a unique special edition for one of the biggest movies of the decade, so there is a HUGE difference

In the past I used to buy things just because I thought they would be collector's items, but then I got tired of doing that. I only buy collector's editions of anything if it's from a movie I really love and if it's within my budget. I don't care if I can resell it on Ebay for a huge price somewhere down the line. To me if it's in my collection it IS wirth something, to me anyways, and that's all that matters.

Thats how i feel, i can never see my self selling my stuff, but i do like to see it become rare, this way at least its a better feeling when u know its so hard to find and it was worth it buying it even tho u had the movie already. So when i say worth money, i mean become rare where u never see it in stores, and maybee even hard to find online.
