Default Van's spot

was up guys... im new in town.

this is my set up's
i first started in 2008. with an onkyo HTIB set up. and then I went to visit my in laws. my father in law told me about his old la scalas and mac amps and how he wished he never sold them. he had some veritas polks and we got to talking. the darkest day of my wifes' life LOLOLOL.

needless to say my pops in law is the bomb and we have lots of fun talking about stuff. and i've moved on since the HTIB days. and keeping on moving.

im awaiting my AXIOM EP500 any day now and also soon after that going to go emotiva upa 5 or xpa 3 .. and an oppo player but this so far in my gallery is my wifes nightmare,,, bless her heart

Looks nice. That room is huge, and quite open...you must have a fun time trying to calibrate your audio in there. Those Axioms are great performers and I am sure you are very happy with them. Nice job!

yea it's been fun. a nightmare no. sometimes i move the back sofa up like two to three feet, trying to keep the surrounds between 90 and 120 degrees. but the problem lies in the front. soo since i can't do the best option of making an equalateral triangle between my L , R , and seating position aswell as a 30 degree toe-in , it is my undetstanding that i can have them face forward and keep them a bit closer together with the intention of avoiding sound gaps.

looking at alot of your HT galleries im contemplating setting up the other room more up to standards with HT seating, a projector and screen. but guess what? that room is square!!!!

dam wish i new all this before i bought the house..lol oh well other than that i really can't complain :0)

tx for the comments once again . and i really enjoy seeing all your galleries

Square is bad for audio...a rectangular is much better.

I think you did the right thing straightening the fronts and bringing them in closer with your open room behind them. We all have limitations (believe me, I have the open space behind me, and it does stink because I bet I am losing dialog and to get proper pressurization from my 2 subs in such a large space is a pain as well.

I recommend a projector if you ever decide you have the space, light control, proper aesthetics and $$....they are definitely worth it in my opinion.
