Default Panasonic DMP BD35 Region Hack for A & B

Hi

I need some help I've had this player for coming up to a year now but the fact I can't play Region A titles is starting to frustrate me. Forinstance I'd love to take advantage of the Criterion collection but due to my player only being multi region for DVD due to a remote hack I can't.

With Hunger already out, Thin Red Line on it's way with The Red Riding Trilogy and a number of TV shows I'd love to purchase as well I need to ask is it possible to get this player hacked in anyway to allow me to play both A & B titles?

I've gone on google trying to find places but are not making any sense of it, can i get this chipped and what kind of places would I need to go get this done?
I live in the UK and a recent trip to my local Hi-Fi shop was not successful and the assistant seemed quite adamant this weren't possible almost to the point of getting quite rude that I suggested this was possible.

Please Help?

Default Blu-ray hack for Panny DMR-DP35

Hi guys,

I've just experienced the same problem. I'm in Australia, and just received a Criterion Edition of The Thin Red Line on Blu-ray, and my Panny wouldn't play it.

My retailer is going to ask the geeks at his work for a hack, he's not 100% sure either?

Otherwise I've been advised that you can contact Panasonic and they can give you a code? But it will cost you.

Generally everyone reckons it is hard to do or near impossible at this stage.

See how we go.

Regards

I own a modded region free Panny BD35 for about a year and a half now which has been, and still is, playing every disc I throw at it
I live in Holland, bought the Panny new and ordered the modkit from a Dutch webshop.
The guy performs the install at his house and demoes w/e you want (you can bring your own disc if you want).
I think the modkit cost me about 150 euros back in the day. Might be expensive but it's money well spent

A quick search has uncover mods that require soldering; haven't seen any solderless mods for the BD35. If you're good at soldering you can order the mod kit yourself and install it otherwise you'll have to ship the player to one of the sites that offers the service.

Most likely you won't find a shop off the street that will do this for you and those sites that offer the mods usually developed their own mod thus their offerings are unique.

Hi. I also have the Panny BD35 that I bought with a region mod from Stegen Electronics years ago. I haven't used it in a long time and have forgotten the buttons i need to push to change it from RB to RA. Perhaps someone in this thread knows and can help me? Thanks

I read sometime ago that there's a work around for the Panny BD35 that works for some region locked titles, depends on how they're authored. When you get the region mis-match error message, hit the Top Menu button on the remote. For some titles it will skip past that region code message and go to the main menu of the disc and play it from there.

The Duke isn't peace of mind from **PAYING** for a mod kit that works with every title worth any thing!!
