Default Help me pick my new HDTV around $3000-$3500 and 60" +

LCD, LED or Plasma

ATM I have a sammy ln52a750 and I along with everone else who sees it is in love with it.. I did a calibration myself from a few ppl online and it looks amazing.. Now the problem obviously is getting that good of a PQ on a screen at, or above 60" being the processing will have to be that much better to produce a high quality PQ on such a large screen. I love the 750, but honestly ... its to small for me and my room.. I sit 13 feet away, and I just want more, but I dont wanna sacrifice PQ, like you see a few of those 65-73 inch sets for $2000-$2500, yea somethings not right there

So what do you guys think?

well IMO plasma is the best , cleanest , smoothet pq out.. But my 750 is bright and crisp and the calibration is near perfect ( a few movies lose some shadow detail ) BUT Im just looking for a tv "any type" which will give a great pic quality

I saw the Vizio 72" or whatever size it is now ( i heard 75" ) but I dont think they could put a good enough processor in it to make it look like, say, a sammy 9000 or a kuro.. Its just to cheap of a set ( @ around $3000 ) it seems ..

It seems more for status than PQ.. But I did also see samsung and panny make a few 63"/65" sets.. But its been a while since I looked.. Suggestions are welcome, but they have to produce a very good PQ , and be above 60"

Last weeek i picked up a 65" Panny plasma V10 series for $2700 at Best Buy. They had it listed for $3900 but they were willing to bargain since it was last years model and the new ones are out now.

If you like Samsung, I saw a new LN60C630 today at Bestbuy in the Magnolia room and man did that thing blow me away....even better than the 2 Led's they had in there. I had my heart set on the Panasonic G20/25 series but after seeing this thing I was absolutely stunned. It was only $2200 too...not too bad and you could pick up a nice surround sound system too for well within your budget.

I would get a panasonic plasma. Best blacks, most accurate color and has won most of the awards at CES. Don't judge by what you see in showroom. Panny vt25 is beautiful. ONly your eyes can tell you what you like the best though.
