Default Riverworld(Sy Fy) any good?

Saw this at my local Wally world today, is it worth picking up?

Anything with Sci-Fi channel or Sy-Fy connected to the film should be a red flag right there.

That's hard to argue; but then again, Sy Fy (Sci Fi at the time) aired the BSG series, which was very high quality stuff. I haven't heard anything much about Caprica, I wonder how that is.

Oh, the actual T.V. shows on Sy-Fy are fine. But the movies? Well that's in a whole catagory of its own.

Just asking since I adore Laura Vandervoort and I love both of the Sy Fy Dune movies.

Haha, yeah that's the truth. The other night I stumbled across some Sy Fy movie about a Cyclops - it may have even been called Cyclops - and it was just God-awful.

I don't understand it either, how can the network who aired BSG with all it's amazing FX be the same company that makes 99% bullshit most of the time. Caprica is mainly drama, there aren't nearly as many FX as BSG had, but the Cylon graphics have been pretty good. So I guess anything in the BSG/Caprica world looks good and everything else sucks, lol. I haven't heard anything about Riverworld, but I would expect terrible graphics as usual.

Hey guys, don't turn this whole thread into a SyFY bashing thread - guy is trying to find out about a specific show.

Never saw Riverworld - didn't hear good things about though. But that doesn't mean you won't like it. Can't you rent it?

(Shouldn't this be in the television forum)?
