United Kingdom PS3 3D Game Review

I just got back from the store where they had a 55" 3D Sony Bravia set up.

They have an option to watch everything from Sports to Movies to ofcourse, PlayStation 3 games.

They Demo'd MotorStorm for me in 3D and I was blown away! It looks like you are INSIDE the game. Everything from the vehicles to the grass on the ground was in 3D. It looked incredible. Thankfully, the Sony glasses look and feel like regular sunglasses (think Oakley). Everything is much more realistic and immersive. Then they showed me SuperStarDust and Wipeout in 3D. Both looked spectacular. I can't even begin to imagine how good a game like KZ3 will look considering it's being designed specifically for 3D.

I was skeptical about 3D TV's and how PS3 would implement it at first, but I'm sold. 3D gaming is definitely going to be a huge part of the future.

Do yourself a favor and go to your local BestBuy to check this technology out. I definitely was not disappointed.

non-gaming related: Football was spectacular in 3D. It's as if you have midfield seats and you're part of the crowd.

I played Motorstorm and the dust from the game looks like it's gonna hit your face! I love it. I may jump in to the 3D tv thing earlier than I thought.

I'm jumping in as soon as Mitsubishi releases their converter for the DLP's. Already got a 3-D receiver.

Got to test the new Sony 3DTV at Futureshop. Sadly they didn't have a PS3 connected. But, I can honestly say that the Sony 3DTV looked much more refined in quality than the Samsung 3DTV did.

I can't wait for the second generation of Sony 3DTV models to hit the market. I'll be on them like maple syrup on pancakes! Mmm, mmm, good!

Sounds cool, but I'm still skeptical. There's a difference between playing a 3D game on a TV a foot away from you, and doing that practically in a house setting.

Once I'm 6-8 feet away, on my couch, I imagine I'll stop caring about the 3D effects from across the room, as they're not nearly as engulfing as they are when you are right in front of the TV.

But more importantly, I don't see it catching on with enough people to become a big part of gaming any time soon, even if it's amazing. 3D TVs are quite pricey at the moment, and I can't imagine them being in many homes anytime soon.
