Talking John Carradine & Vincent Price

does anyone know what blue rays these to Gentlemen have out? it's kinda hard to do a search for them on this site to be honest. plus it's just faster this way.

First off, I commend you on your choices!

According to this site, Vincent Price has one Blu out: Edward Scissorhands. You can also hear him on the short film Vincent, which is a special feature on The Nightmare Before Christmas Bu-ray.

I found no reference to John Carradine.

You can use the link below to search for cast and crew on Blu. I think the results will be limited because not every actor/crew member is listed on each release, but it should be a good start.

thank you. you would think that John Carradine would also have Quite a few out. he hasn't only done horror films as you know.

i also am a HUGE Christopher Lee Fan as well. i've only got one of his films on Blue-Ray & that's "Alice In Wonderland" so far anyways

A third excellent choice! As I was looking into The Nightmare Before Christmas Blu-ray for my initial response, I read that Christopher Lee is also on this disc. Apparently, he is in the special features narrating the poem. I never knew that. Will have to check it out.

My wife knew an artist named Christopher Lee. He would get fan mail from time to time for his brilliant on-screen portrayals...

Vincent Price is my favorite actor of all-time; no contest. I really wish they'd start putting more of his movies on blu because every single one of them are day-one buys for me.

as much as i hate to break it to you. i've got one that is SOO BAD that i think he SHOULD have turned it down. "it's not the size that counts" from (1974) that was a terrible piece of shit of a film. i have that VHS &

it's i am told QUITE RARE! his part isn't very big. & yes the title is about exactly what you are thinking. but i agree there are titles i would LOVE to see on blu.

Mickey Rooney is my all time fave. my 2nd is V.Price & my 3rd is C.Lee.
i discovered Mickey Rooney's films first as a kid that's why i have him at no. 1.

& as for say "The Pit & The Pendulam' i wouldn't doubt that they wouldn't put that out my guess within the next couple of years at the very least cause they are starting to put "Roger Corman"s" films on Blu. & that's my favorite Price film. out of all of his. i'd also LOVE to see "House of the long shadows" with all 3 actors including the great Peter Cushing! in it.

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. I believe the original 1973 Wicker Man is out somewhere on Blu-ray. Star Wars prequels are due out next year.

The original version of The Wicker Man hasn't been released yet on Blu-ray anywhere. I wish. It looked like Optimum was going to release it in the U.K. but it turned out to be the Nic Cage version.

As for Christopher Lee, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Lord of the Rings films. Too obvious? He's in the western Hannie Caulder, which was just released on DVD (I guess it was deemed not worthy of Blu-ray). Hannie Caulder is sort of an early entry in the rape/revenge genre, with Raquel Welch as a woman who swears revenge on three bandits after they murder her husband, rape her and burn down her house. Robert Culp teaches her how to shoot, and later they meet up with Christopher Lee as a noble gunsmith.

WHOOPS i didn't see your post. well at the moment i have no plans on re-buying the Rings films for Blue Ray. there's other films i want to get 1st.

& "Hannie Caulder' is a film i've been wanting to see for YEARS! C.Lee's Only Western & in his book 'Tall Dark & handsome" i think it's called? he said he had fun making it & wished he had done more. or was offered more westerns than just that one. i guess nobody can see him do a western. & either have never heard of Hannie Caulder or have never seen it either.

I'm surprised no one mentioned "The Grapes of Wrath", John Carradine is on Blu-ray in this film and one of His most memorable performances! Love this Movie....

Has everyone forgot Christopher Lee was in Sleepy Hollow, or does everyone just hate that movie? Shocked it hasn't been mentioned yet. His voice was so perfect for that small role. Just hearing him say "Sleepy Hollow" gives me chills everytime.
