I personally don't and wouldn't use a lens cleaner, not when i have a PS3. If the lens got that bad, which it never does and affects playback, it'd be time to buy a new player.

I never use them, every few months I just open the drawer and have a squirt inside with a can of compressed air to dislodge any dust. Its what I've been doing for years on all my optical drives. Just make sure you get a type of air that hasn't got too much wet propellant in it
