This is outstanding news, as this is the version of A Christmas Carol that is my personal favorite by far. I really love George C. Scott's take on the character, and I will be adding this to my Blu-ray library for sure.

It's not a bad version, but for me the definitive film adaption is the 1951 version (Scrooge) with Alistair Sim.

How quality of a release is this supposed to be?

Can anyone clear up whether this version was shown theatrically in 1.85:1 in the UK? I've read that this may have been filmed 1.85:1 but home video versions are all 1.33:1. Was it ever available in the UK 1.85:1?

I live in Shrewsbury, the town where this was filmed, but I've never seen it. I really should, I love the story. Nothing will beat Muppets Christmas Carol though!
