Let's hope they offer the extended AND theatrical versions on the blu-ray.

I want this one as well, but I think you're jumping the gun. Until an official release date is announced I wouldn't hold your breath.

Ill definitely buy it no matter if it has one cut or both. BLUes Brothers is a well needed addition to my collection.

FINALLY! As a native of the Chi-Town area I am soooo thrilled that this classic is finally getting its due! Hope they restore it faithfully!

As a former Chicagoland resident I can't wait for this. Hopefully they will have some new special features. One such feature should be the concert when they opened for Steve Martin, which was on the SNL: Season 3 DVD under the title, "Things We Did Last Summer."

Yeah, it's not a deal-breaker but I would prefer both cuts as well. Some of the additional material doesn't quite fit.

I just did a web search and didn't find anything about a release date. I've been looking forward to this as it is one of my favorite movies. I don't care if the extended version is included, it didn't improve the overall experience.

Those folks at Universal better not mess up the transfer. If they do, they're gonna look pretty funny trying to eat corn on the cob with no f'ing teeth!

I wholeheartedly agree. There are a few comedies out there from that time period that deserve an excellent transfer. Caddyshack, which got a good transfer, better than I hoped. The Blues Brothers.....lets all pray it's done right. Then you have Airplane. An instant classic. Each one of these movies never, I mean, NEVER EVER gets old. They will stand the test of time over and over again till the end of time. Bring it on!

This could be bad design, but more likely, the order of the credits (and the reverse order of the images) was contractual.
