Default And Soon the Darkness coming to BD 12-28

I couldn't find any threads regarding this BD release so here is some information.

And Soon the Darkness Blu-ray

And Soon the Darkness Blu-ray Review

Just saw the trailer for this on G4TV and found an announcement for it on High Def Digest. Release date is December 28th and the movie, directed by Marcos Efron, stars Amber Heard, Odette Yustman and Karl Urban. It is a remake of a film from 1970 set in Europe but this time around the setting is Argentina.

I have the original on dvd-- it was a low key psychological thriller from the early 70's--- but really good for it's type-- moody, great sense of dread and danger-- could be a good remake if done correctly....

I forgot to mention that it is being released on DVD/BD by Starz/Anchor Bay.

Below is an interview with the director from the Fangoria website:

If anyone has this (remake) now.

Could you please tell me if this is just suspense...or did they modernize it by making it violent. I wanna see this (for Odette Yustman) but I don't want to see her get tortured and abused for 2 hours.

Thanks any and all.

SPOILERS AFOOT

I adore Amber Heard. But damn her for putting money into this (co-producer)!
I can't believe someone saw this original and saidI can do this better... an then went on to make this terrible movie.
[Show spoiler]It's slow until pretty much the end. No rape or torture scenes at least. The real torture is watching 2 young hot American girls run around in a foreign country making one dumb decision after another; they don't speak the native language, miss their bus, cock tease a local pervert, split up... Then when the opportunity comes to whack said local pervert over the head and snap his neck they opt to pass that up. It's a total mess! After the first girl nearly gets away same said pervert shoves her to the ground where she hits her head on a rock and dies. Amber is left alive long enough to reenact the scene from scary movie where a bag contains a plethora of weapons and a banana and she chooses the banana to take on remaining bad guys. Long story short it is sex trafficking, there were a million chances at survival but who cares cause I just wasted an hour and half of my life watching this POS I'll never get back. Don't watch it do t rent it. Terrible.
