Selling On Amazon - Questions - Blu-ray Forum

Just sold 3 dvd sets and a dell monitor on Amazon. They went fast, within 2 days they were sold. It was sweet.

However, I find Amazons cut a bit steep. Also, the shipping is a set amount and I have to cover the overages. Am I missing something? Any way to change the shipping amount or is it really SET?

Amazon Marketplace has set charges for shipping as far as I can tell.

For me it has been more than enough though I only sold a few media items.

Yeah, most times its enough but this time a Dell 2405 Flat Panel, cost 20 bux to ship. I received a 7.50 credit. So I lost money. Not in my eyes, but if I were really counting my bottom line - I lost 12 bux roughly.

Yeah that sucks. I guess you need to work out what your coverage would be and look to sell bigger items more locally - craigslist is good if you are in a big city.

Well, on a 250 dollar item, they made 22 bux. On a 28 dollar item, they made around 6-7 bux.

Its not too bad, but it is pretty high. Then again, I don't have to deal with paypal, ebay and the like. I just ship and go. I do both and like both. Each has their pros and cons.
