Hey guys,
Does anybody have any advice on how to mount 2x4 panels on the ceiling? They are wood framed with fiber glass insulation and weigh about 10lbs. I used 1x2`s for the frames. Other than nailing, which i think would be a pita and don`t want to do, i`m not sure what type of fasteners to use. Thanks. |

Here is what I did ![]() Frames I built for my ceiling panels ![]() I used a flat metal bracket & screwed it to the back of the frame & then used a sheetrock screw into the ceiling . Here are the bracket & sheetrock screw ![]() I have one at each end of the 2x4 panel & my panels are about 5 pounds so you may want to have 2 on each end for the extra weight ![]() ![]() |
