Australia Dead Man?

Can any Australian folk tell me if Jim Jarmusch's DEAD MAN has actually come out? I've looked at a few online retailers and they all seem to show stock delays.

I have not seen it anywhere

And I have been looking since day one.

It no longer appears on Madman's website or B2B either

I saw it in my JB about a week after release. I had it in my hands but I just couldn't throw down the $38.98 they wanted for it! I like the film and Johnny Depp is the man but I'm on a budget and I just don't have the money to spend that much on a catalogue title, particularly when there haven't been any reviews as to picture and audio quality. It was there around the time all the Luc Besson films got a release if I recall correctly.

I'll be heading to JB tonight for their after hours sale. I'll check if it's still there. It was probably a month ago or so that I last saw it but it may still be there. If it is there and you're desperate for it I'd be happy to buy it and post it to you for cost.

Just to let anyone interested know, i contacted MADMAN about this and they said they've pulled the release this year and rescheduled it for March 2011. Heres' the reply....

"We will be releasing Dead Man on Blu-ray in March 2011. We pulled it from release this year after it didn’t make our QC standards, and we thought we’d start again in order to deliver the best quality.

An exact release date will be revealed closer to the day, so why not stay tuned to our website http://www.madman.com.au/actions/channel.do?method=view as it is constantly updated with new information and releases.

Apologies for any confusion caused. "

Very interesting. I can 100% confirm I saw it on shelves when first released but they must've recalled it immediately then. Very glad I didn't part ways with the cash to get it if it was so bad they had to pull it.

What happened to this release? I can't find any info on the site they refered us to. Is it cancelled?
