What BD titles have DTS MA 2.0?
I only know of one, Grumpy Old Men in the double movie BD. The stand alone release has Dolby True HD 2.0. I know some people cannot play DTS MA 2.0 for Grumpy Old Men & I wonder if there is a similar issue for any other titles with this audio format. |

DTS MA bumps down to regular DTS for those running older receivers via Toslink (fiber optic). The 2.0 is simply stereo with no sub. Edward Scissorhands is something like 5.0 (no sub). The DTS MA downmix to regular DTS is still a bit clearer than the origianl DTS. According to their website, DTS and DD THD do have higher numbers in the downmixing than the original formats so even for those working with older receivers, the sound is still a bit clearer with slightly better steering. I've noticed it.

It is the "2.0" list of movies I am interested in hearing about . That is "DTS MA 2.0", not Dolby True HD 2.0 or any other type of 2.0 or 4.0 or 5.1, etc.
I didn't mean for this thread to be a discussion of the merits or limitations of any of the audio formats. So, if anyone happens to know of any BD titles that are "DTS MA 2.0" please list them. Regards, Steve |
