those DVDs are absolutely terrible. i'd even pay for a DVD re-issue. has there ever been any talk of Arrested on blu-ray?

I think the only hope would be a re release if and when that movie gets made and isn't a total flop.

I would stab a hobo for that show on blu though.

I believe so. They air the show in HD on G4 and they it have on Netflix streaming in HD as well.

In anticipation of Season 4 (releasing May 26th), I've been going through the first 3 seasons again, streaming them in Super HD on Netflix. The quality looks pretty solid to me, I don't know why they haven't released the show on BD. You'd think they'd try and make the effort to cash in on Season 4 coming out. Hopefully if/when Season 4 comes out on DVD/BD, Fox releases BD versions for the first 3.

Also: if you haven't watched the show yet, you're missing out. It's easily one of the funniest shows ever, and has endless replayability too, I'm loving seeing them again.

Hopefully Fox will do something with them on Blu when Netflix inevitably releases season four that way. I had worried that they wouldn't release it at all, but going off of HOUSE OF CARDS as a guide I'd say they probably will if it does well enough.

Even if the reviews aren't so great, do you guys know if Season 4, like House Cards Season 1, will be released on blu? Who owns the rights to Seasons 1-3?

Fox owns the first 3. They just re-released it on DVD too last week, in new packaging (not sure about any new extras). They're currently the TV deal of the week on amazon for $25.

There's no word right now on a BD/DVD release for S4.

Seasons are available on Vudu for $5 each right now in HD. I want blu-ray too, but I'm thinking of biting on these.

I could see Shout Factory doing this.

At this point I watch the extended pilot on DVD, then switch to Netflix for the rest.
