Default Where to buy the Pacific?

Obviously it's on sale at Amazon, but with shipping and import fees deposit it comes out to over $50. Anyone remember if we had good boxing day sales on Band of Brothers or the like domestically?

With the lackluster Boxing Day flyers released already, it might be a year too early to expect someone up here to compete with the 'better' deals in the US...

I don't understand why Amazon.ca is so much more expensive than the US version. Amazon.ca just plain sucks, IMHO.

.ca is higher since they have to honor the Canadian MSRP's set by the studios as their base price. They then apply their standard discounts to these prices. It is really the studios fault for setting such crazy MSRP's. For example the Tangled Combo Pack has an MSRP of an astonishing $56.99. I know back in the day VHS and Laserdisc did cost that much and a lot more but in this market that price is insane. Would any of you pay $56.99 for a single Blu-ray movie?
