Default Intel i7 or AMD Phenom II x6

whcih one do you guys prefer? I know AMD is cheaper but performance wise I'm just wondering what you guys prefer.

I'd personally go with the Phenom but both are great processors.

I use to be a AMD fanboy until Intel started kicking their rear like there is no tomorrow.

Intel > AMD

easy choice.

btw...running a i7 right now, couldn't be any happier, especially when rendering 1080p videos and 18mp photos from my camera

I'm either thinking about getting an Intel i7 950 Quad Core or an AMD Phenom iix6 Six Core. Looking at those and a motherboard for them but noticed that the AMD Motherboards support 16GB of memory compared to 24GB of Memory for Intel

The boards I've been looking at have been in the $200 range. They're different brands I've been looking at. The one brand I keep seeing is the Asus boards.
