See the following Amazon.de link:
http://www.amazon.de/Das-M%C3%A4dche...4063299&sr=1-3 The release is coming from Concorde Video. I don't think I've come across them before - do they have a good reputation for technical quality of their releases? |

As I got no responses, I ordered this BD and got it yesterday. Sadly the transfer is based on the same elements as the UK DVD and has the same problems. Certain shots are very grainy and one in particular can only be described as a grain blizzard, which actually looks even worse on the BD than on the DVD. Also, there is lightening or discolouration at the extreme left side of the image in some shots, notably during the initial credits but in other places as well.
I can't really recommend this. ![]() |

No, actually it's all-region (I've tested it on my US player to make sure).
As I say though, the quality of the transfer is disappointing. Lionsgate released the film on DVD in the US, so I assume they will have the Blu-ray distribution rights as well, but goodness knows whether/when they will release it. If you're really desperate to have a copy of this German edition, I'd be willing to sell it to you for an agreed price. Please pm me if you're interested! ![]() |
