I'd be interested to know what audio options are included.

There's no way that'd happen here in Australia. The studio would never hear the end of it!

Thanks, I get if from Australia than, If memory serves me correct if was ages before the Australian soundtrack was put on the DVD, so have seen this movie in a long time, as I refused to buy it without.

I wish Madman could have picked this up and done a plethora of new extras--including new interviews/commentary with Gibson.

Good news! IIRC I like this one the most of the trilogy. I used to own part 2 on HD DVD but found it boring enough to sell it quickly (sold quickly about all the HD DVD's I didn't really care for).

Ok based on that cover its probably safe to assume its the same transfer as the US release.

Yeah. And at least we don't have that oval banner at the top. I hate those so much.

I was thinking the other day how good it would be if our ratings logos were changed to stickers. I mean it's a sensible move, as they'd be mandatory while on sale and once bought you can remove them. But alas, it's a bit of a pipe dream.

Default Mad Max - Aus Region B Questions

I heard the Roadshow Blu-ray does not have the original Australian-English track even though it lists it on the cover. Oddly enough, the US and WB releases have both including the American dubbed track, so that would suck for Aussies if the Roadshow only had the USA dub in its native country.

Also, does it use a different transfer than whats on the MGM/Shout! and Warner discs? Out of curiosity, does it open with this
or nothing at all as it seems to be with down under releases.

I believe there's also I-III trilogy packs, but reports say some versions are the Roadshow B-locked discs and others say there's ones with the packaging as the European ones with MM being the WB disc. Are the Roadshow discs for II-III Thunderdome different than the Warner ones?

No, it was missing the US Dub track. The Original Audio was there.

It's probably from the same scan, but it's a different encode. The average bitrate on the Australian disc is slightly lower than the U.S. and higher than the U.K releases.
