Anyone that has seen both the DVD and BD versions of DR on a decent size screen (46 inches or more) please let me know if there's an adequate improvement in picture quality in the HD version. I know the movie was shot in 16mm and will not be an HD showcase, but is an upgrade warranted?

The screenshots are on this website. Super 16mm has a vertical resolution of around 1500 lines, and the digital intermediate format is 2K, so technically speaking there is no reason for the BD to not be better than the DVD. The screenshots look quite good to me also.

Is there a version with lossless audio? From what I understand the UK version by Momentum has only a DD 5.1, since it also crams the film and 2.5 hr making of onto a single BD25.

Since when is DTS HD MA lossy? Is it just a super low bitrate, or en error in the post? Big improvement over the dvd (US version) quality-wise, but missing a bunch of extras. Worth an upgrade and save (save/keep the dvd for features that is).

I have never seen the DVD but I own the BD.. While it is a very, very gritty movie (kinda like Texas Chainsaw Massacre) it looks quite good! I like the look of the movie and I'd say its definitely worth it..

guys somebody has problems with the LIONSGATE USA edition??
I bought this a few years ago, I remember I saw the Bluray and works perfectly, and then months later I played the disc again and dont works, the ps3 said "Wrong Disc" and then I try with my parents player and I got the same message "Wrong disc" and now I want to buy it again with the amazon deal of $4.99 but I am afraid if all the discs come with the same problem

what If you can play just 1 time the movie and then dont works anymore
