Default Most "dips" for one title

I am curious what is the most dips anybody on this forum has made for one title.

I am considering breaking my record with Labyrinth Anniversary edition DVD. That would be a triple-dip for me (standard, superbit, and now this) and that is only on one format!

Who has the record for most dips?

I definitely won't set any records, but I had the James bond movies on VHS, then DVD, and I will be getting them on Blu-ray for sure. Oh and same goes for StarWars.

Same here. Also have the Indiana Jones movies on VHS and DVD. Will also replace them on Blu when Paramount goes Blu. (It's inevitable.)

The first Star Wars. Somewhere, George is kicking back with an ocean view.

Halloween - VHS > 3 Anchor Bay DVD's I still haven't decided if I'll get the BD release.

Star Wars - VHS > VHS Widescreen > Laserdisc (Definitve Collection) > Laserdisc (Special Editions) > DVD

James Bond - VHS > VHS widescreen > DVD Boxsets > DVD "Ultimate" boxsets.

Paramount and Star Trek. They must have a factory dedicated to the stuff.

INDEPENDENCE DAY: 5 copies

VHS copy (1) that my VCR had destroyed so I bought another VHS copy (2). I then bought the DVD when it came out (3). From there, I bought the 2 disc special edition (4) DVD that came out and when the blu-ray version is released on Dec 4th, that would make #5.

ENEMY OF THE STATE: 4 copies

The VHS copy (1). I then moved on to DVD (2) and the Special Edition DVD (3). I now own the blu-ray (4).

I haven't really double diopped on many titles . . . most were upgrades either from DVD to Blu, with the occasional purchase of an upgraded/remastered DVD (Highlander, for one, the first Highlander release was AWFUL!).

As far as a title that has had lots of dips, how many versions of Army Of Darkness are out there? I think there are at least 6.

I only have one movie with 3 dips. Fifth Element on dvd (lost it), then the first blu-ray version and the remastered. I will end double dipping all of the movies I bought on dvd with blu-ray at some point.

I would have to say atleast 4 dips for many many movies. I usually buy the initial release then the new uncut version then the directors cut then I buy the anniversary editions. I guess that is why my DVD collection is currently over 1000 disks. I think I buy about 10 -15 DVD's a week

I've gotten Full Metal Jacket on VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray and am considering getting the upcoming Blu-Ray because of how crappy the first Blu-Ray looks. I've also bought Reservoir Dogs twice on DVD (tenth anniversary and 15th anniversary with that cool ass gas can case) and once on Blu-Ray, which I later sold. I've bought The Departed 3 times now.

EDIT: Yup, bought Full Metal Jacket for the 4th time.

Well shoot...can you count dips if they were on different formats? VHS vs. DVD vs. BD?

If thats the case, I have been triple dipping for almost a year now!
