Quite surprising - could it just be a placeholder? I can't see them thinking that a sitcom would make a lot of money. But hey, biggest one in the world, I guess. HD versions would do well on TV as well. I'm guessing it must be worked on worldwide, as I doubt Warner Home Video would just release it in Europe.

Friends is actually airing in HD in Germany already on a channel called TNT Serie, including an English 5.1 track. So they've already done the hard part, at least for season 1.
