United Kingdom Butterfly Effect Trilogy worth it?

It's down to just under £9 on Amazon, which is pretty good for a trilogy set, however I have always been reluctant to buy it as I haven't seen the other two, nor do I have much desire to see them (apart from most of Disney's, I usually avoid DTV sequels). However the first film is great and I don't know how much longer it's going to be before it gets an individual release. If anyone's bought this and/or watched the other two, what are the sequels like?

Will if you count Smallville's Erica Durance in a bra and panties a plus then go for it. Not a bad price for three films though.

I always remember a caption for the first film showing Ashton Kutcher running down a hallway that made me laugh it was something like "Kutcher runs like the monkey man he is" or something like that. Picture captions aren't usually funny but that one struck a chord. Plus he erased himself from history....

The second is OK, I thought the third was a bit better. Both are nowhere near the first in terms of quality though.

Just something to keep in mind - this release features the theatrical cut of the first and not the director's cut. Not a deal breaker but I prefer the director's cut even though that doesn't seem to be the popular opinion. Also note that the second film is 1080i/50 so that is an issue if you can't play content of that nature.

Having said that, I own the set and the thing to keep in perspective is you're paying £9 for three films. Often you'd spend that on a single film so if you like the original it's worth getting the set and having the 2 other films as bonuses, even if you only ever watch them once.

I have a region B player so I don't know how region A players behave with 1080i/50 titles. Here's how the disc starts:

[Show spoiler]- 32 sec. warning screen followed by Icon Home Entertainment logo (24.00 fps):

- Film selection menu (25.00 fps): press enter to access The Butterfly Effect menu; press down then enter to access Buttefly Effect 2 menu.

- The Butterfly Effect menu (23.98 fps):

- The Butterfly Effect 2 menu (25.00 fps):

So you may not be able to play the disc at all.

I'd say go for it
I purchased the set pretty much straight away and purely for the first one.

Though the 3rd movie is watchable too
